# App Shell Chat

Open **Create chat** from the sidebar or navigate to `/chat`.

Workspace chat keeps a durable conversation history. New conversations are private workspace-scoped chats by default. The sidebar includes recent chats, search, new-chat controls, and project filters.

Project-scoped conversations can continue in workbench. Linked conversations show where they came from and where they continued.

Generation launched from chat follows quote, approval, run, and result-link steps inside the transcript.
