About

We are building Gessa so ideas can become running worlds.

Gessa is an AI-native, browser-based game engine. Natural language is the primary authoring surface, and the engine underneath remains a real, editable runtime for people, teams, and software agents.

What Gessa is

In Gessa, a prompt can create a model, a level, a character, a rule, a game, or a simulation on one editable world graph. Rendering, physics, state, behavior, server-authoritative multiplayer, collaboration, and measurable outcomes belong to the same runtime. Visual edits, code, and AI instructions describe the same underlying world instead of producing disconnected artifacts that must be assembled elsewhere.

Why games come first

Games are a demanding proving ground: they are visual, interactive, social, real-time, and easy to judge by whether they actually work. The capabilities needed to make a playable game also apply to simulations, robotics environments, persistent agent tasks, and agent evaluations. Gessa starts with games while building the broader idea that interactive worlds can become a reusable software primitive.

Who Gessa serves

Gessa is for people who want to make a game by describing it, indie developers and studios that need a faster path to a playable build, teams that want to work together in the browser, educators creating shared interactive projects, researchers building controlled environments, and software agents using explicit API or MCP contracts. Experienced developers can still refine the same project through code and structured engine tools.

What is available today

Gessa is in early access and free to start. Creation and play work in the browser today, with WebGPU where available and graceful fallback elsewhere. The engine includes cloud projects, asset generation, collaboration, and a server-authoritative multiplayer runtime. Public anonymous share links and native store targets are rolling out, and paid plans for higher generation volume are still being finalized. Those limits are stated plainly so people and agents can distinguish shipped behavior from product direction.
