Spend Caps

Spend caps let workspace owners control paid usage.
engine v1.0.234Copy for LLM

Cap Types

  • monthly total cap
  • category cap, such as runtime compute or bandwidth

Actions

When a cap is reached, the workspace can:

  • notify
  • warn
  • block new paid operations
  • pause public traffic

Free workspaces do not use spend caps to allow paid overage. Free usage is blocked before it can create unapproved spend.

Guest Protection

Public deployment traffic is checked before guest sessions are issued. If a workspace is out of guest budget or public traffic is paused, new guest sessions are denied before additional cost is accepted.

Editing Caps

Workspace billing settings expose spend-cap controls. Changes are recorded for audit and apply to new reservations/admissions immediately.
